Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Sr. Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing world class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for networking products, prototyping concepts, and investigating in new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Design and implement baseboard management controller (BMC) features to support Supermicro products
• Prepare design documents and test plan
• Co-work with hardware team, test team to provide best customer experience
• Develop BMC based on IPMI and DMTF standards, including Redfish, MCTP, PLDM, SPDM
• Enhance BMC security with standards define by NIST, TCG, OCP

Qualifications:

• Minimum BS in EE/CS/CE, Master is preferred
• Minimum 8 years working experience in firmware development.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, Python
• Familiar software development under Linux, such as CC, Makefile
• Preferred to have experience with OpenBMC
• Preferred to familiar with IPMI, DMTF standards
• Preferred experience with system bringup using Uboot linux kernel

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$152,000 - $168,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
