Job Summary This position is a senior level position performing various duties related to the financial reporting process for Fidelity & Guaranty Life and subsidiaries. Areas of responsibility include preparation of the quarterly and annual Statutory financial statements, footnote disclosures, and analysis required for Statutory reporting. This position will also support the department with respect to internal and external audit requests.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of regulatory required statutory reporting, including the Annual and Quarterly Statements, MD&A, statutory audited financial statements and any associated filing.
• Support coordination and preparation of certain GAAP, quarterly and annual statements; and related analysis, including, but not limited to related footnotes and analytics.
• Prepare analysis and utilize reporting tools to obtain information from the general ledger (Oracle) and/or financial data warehouse as required to assist with the reconciliation and analytic duties related to position.
• Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations including supporting analysis when applicable.
• Support compliance with internal control procedures and documentation of controls (i.e., Review and approval control binders).
• Support internal and external (EY) audits and statutory insurance department examinations, as needed.
• Pursue path of continuous process improvement (including automation) opportunities to identify and provide recommendations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.
