Job summary

Compass Group North America is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support Foodbuy LLC. This role focuses on accurate financial reporting and owning the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for key clients in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The candidate will partner across teams, deliver timely analyses, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong attention to detail and professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification or candidacy preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI/reporting tools strongly preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
• Experience delivering presentations to senior management and department customers.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for key clients.
• Execute monthly close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and perform variance analysis.
• Serve as primary point of contact for accounting processes.
• Support business partners and team deliverables.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation.
• Provide ad-hoc reports as requested by management.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and brings strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail. Success in this role requires the ability to operate independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and effectively partner across teams.

Requirements

• Experience working in a large, decentralized, or multi-unit organization
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities independently
• Experience delivering presentations to senior management and department customers
