Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Finance Sr. Analyst in the Washington, DC area to apply advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals, preparing and delivering financial reports for a complex portfolio of clients and properties.

You will handle journal entries, review packages, and ensure accuracy, while adhering to CBRE policies and procedures. The role sits within the Financial Strategy and Operations function and supports timely, compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills for complex calculations.

Responsibilities

• Complete intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions in preparation for client financial statement packages.
• Create and post journal entries and ensure that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests, and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted.
• Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting. Prepare packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to the client and other management teams.
• Review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Respond to and resolve complex issues and requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports.
• Recognize potential issues and conflicts and take corrective action to minimize issues.

What You’ll Do

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Finance Sr. Analyst is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance Sr. Analyst position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
