Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team in a hybrid role. The position offers exposure to the entire organization and opportunities to influence senior leadership decisions.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of financial analysis experience, a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting, and strong skills in Excel, SAP, Tableau, and Alteryx. Collaboration with executives and business partners is essential.

• Strong analytical and modeling skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop the annual budget and forecasts
• Develop and own portions of the monthly rolling plan and report trends to upper management
• Model, analyze, and report on new strategic initiatives
• Review, forecast and analyze P&L line items with business partners
• Support development, monitoring and reporting of operational KPIs
• Provide ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership

BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team. A position within this team is exciting and fast paced because of the holistic exposure across the organization. The candidate here in this role has the potential to make significant impact and become a trusted resource for the senior leadership team. An individual who enjoys working individually as well as on a team, and who is comfortable partnering and communicating with all levels of the business to make sound recommendations will be a great fit for the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating cross functionally to develop the annual budget, including detailed forecasts of expense items and revenue drivers
• Developing and owning portions of the monthly rolling plan, identifying, and reporting key trends to upper management regularly for key decision making and quarterly guidance
• Modeling, analyzing, and reporting on new strategic initiatives to inform the business of challenges and opportunities
• Working with key business partners to review, forecast and analyze various P&L line items across
• Supporting the development, monitoring, and reporting of operational metrics and KPIs
• Ad-hoc reporting and analyses as requested by senior leadership

Competencies Required:

• A critical thinker with excellent problem solving and financial modeling skills
• Clear and articulate in oral and written communication
• Strong attention to detail, a perfectionist at heart
• Strong business acumen with ability to interface with executive management
• Ability to build partnerships and help influence decisions
• A team player that enjoys collaborative work but can excel as individual contributor
• Advanced technical aptitude (Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems)
• Exposure to Tableau and Alteryx a plus
• An understanding of key accounting principles
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, MBA a plus
• Demonstrable and progressive financial analysis experience (3-5 years)

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ’s Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non‑discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $86,000.00 - $109,500.00
