Oversee and prepare business related analysis and research in such areas as financial revenue and expense performance, depreciation and other related areas for special management reports, fiscal planning, budget and forecasting. Ensure practices are in accordance with company policy, accounting principles, and regulatory and contractual obligations. May supervise or direct the activities of finance staff.

1. Prepare financial and business-related analysis and research. (75-90%)
- Prepare analysis of complex financial data needed in forecasting, budget planning and control and project cost evaluations.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance, general business conditions, and identify and report significant variances to management.
- Develop and implement short and long-range plans and current year forecasts, ensuring that accounting records, data and statistics meet the needs of management.
- Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries and monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile and analyze all balance sheet accounts monthly and book appropriate entries. Investigate, correct and follow-up on any inaccuracies identified.
- Provide management with recommendations on actions and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans and controls.
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management. Present results of research and analysis and provide recommendations in written and verbal presentation formats.
- May prepare tax returns and/or legal and regulatory reports.
- Coordinate the annual audit and ensure auditors are furnished with complete and accurate data.
2. Assist with the development of accounting procedures and monitor all related transactions for proper legal and regulatory compliance. (10-15%)
3. May assist with accounting duties related to cash management, escrow administration, franchise transactions, agent accounts or other business records and reporting. (0-10%)
4. Assist in the development of business policies, conduct special financial and business related studies and cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analysis. (5-10%)
5. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0-5%)

QualificationsEducation:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance degree or equivalent training and experience.
- MBA or CPA optional but preferred.
Experience:- 5 to 8 years professional finance experience.
- Related industry experience helpful.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good organizational skills with a high degree of analysis, accuracy, quality, and detail orientation.
- High degree of integrity.
- Technical skills related to real estate, mortgage or franchise.

Wage: $95,000 - $113,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for annual discretionary bonus.
Location: This position is open to remote work hiring within the U.S. mainland, or if the candidate is local to the Twin Cities metro area, will be on-site at this location with work from home flexibility.
