Job summary

Camaco in Columbus, Nebraska seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance insights for automotive manufacturing operations.

You will partner with finance, operations, and leadership to explain variances, build financial models, support month-end close, and drive cost reductions through data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Several years of progressive financial analysis experience; automotive or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, inventory, and variances.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting or ERP systems.
• Ability to explain financial results clearly to both finance and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for manufacturing operations.
• Monitor and explain variances in labor, material, overhead, production costs, and other key financial measures.
• Analyze product costs, margins, inventory, scrap, and plant performance.
• Partner with plant leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate operational results and improvement opportunities.
• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses for operational and strategic decisions.
• Track key performance indicators and communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Support annual planning, cost-reduction initiatives, capital requests, and investment analysis.
• Improve reporting processes, data quality, and internal controls.
• Assist with audits and other finance projects as needed.
