Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Sr Field Service Technician to deliver high-level technical support and service to customers, troubleshoot complex issues, perform maintenance, and train customers and junior technicians. You will ensure optimal performance of Honeywell products and systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with low-voltage control circuits and electrical diagnostics.
• 2+ years configuring, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting BAS/BMS (Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Metasys, Siemens).
• 2+ years of HVAC Direct Digital Controls installation/startup/commissioning/calibration/troubleshooting.
• 2+ years working with open-protocol building automation and integration technologies (BACnet/Modbus/LonWorks/Tridium/Echelon).
• Proficient understanding of HVAC controls, and computer systems.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical or electrical equipment under contract.
• Complete preventive maintenance to reduce emergency calls and achieve zero callbacks.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and restore operation.
• Make minor repairs to mechanical units, remotes, I/O equipment, CPUs, and software systems.
• Install simple control systems or modifications to existing systems.
• Instruct and train customers or representatives on maintenance and operating procedures.
• Promote and maintain good customer relations and assist in contract retention.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform scheduled routine preventive maintenance on mechanical or electrical equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it's in satisfactory working order.
• Complete preventative maintenance in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero calls back.
• Respond to emergency service calls as directed to keep system downtime to minimum. Analyze, trouble-shoot, repair and restore equipment/systems to full operation and recommend revisions/replacements when necessary to improve system.
• Make minor repairs to mechanical units, remotes, I/O equipment, CPU's and software systems.
• Perform or assist with installing simple control systems or modifications to existing systems.
• Instruct and/or train customers or customer representatives on systems maintenance and operating procedures.
• Promote, build and maintain good customer relations and assist in contract retention; inform supervisor of customer needs, requirements, systems status, and actual or potential customer problems.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE

• 2+ years of experience working with low-voltage control circuits, including electrical diagnostics, logical troubleshooting, and system fault resolution.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS) such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls Metasys, or Siemens platforms.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC Direct Digital Controls (DDC), including installation, startup, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems.
• 2+ years of experience working with open-protocol building automation and integration technologies, including BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks/LonMark, Tridium, and Echelon-based control products, with the ability to integrate and support multi-vendor systems.

• Technical knowledge of HVAC, electronic and mechanical systems and/or Direct Digital Controls Systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, and computer systems.
• Experience in creating program files for various application specific controllers. Set trends and reports as required by management.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and various sequences of operation.
• Network knowledge with TCP/IP communications and supervisory devices a plus.
• Excellent oral, written, phone, and customer-relations skills.
• High School diploma or GED.

The annual base salary range for this position is $58,400min - $73,000mid. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
