Who we are looking for

Purpose

The Sr. Field Reimbursement Manager (Senior FRM) plays a key role in supporting reimbursement challenges for Chiesi products by being the primary contact with our HUB service partner and healthcare providers. This customer-facing position provides reimbursement education and support to hospitals, outpatient departments, physician practices, specialty pharmacies, and other care sites. The Senior FRM collaborates with healthcare professionals and internal teams such as sales, market access, and patient services to ensure patient access to Chiesi’s and Amryt’s products.

The role requires expertise in reimbursement processes—benefit verification, prior authorization, claim assistance, and appeals—and the ability to develop strong relationships with healthcare providers. It involves remote work, primarily in the central US (Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.), with 40-50% travel.

Main Responsibilities

• Minimize reimbursement barriers to optimize patient access to Chiesi GRD products.
• Engage with HCP offices across five states: Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Michigan.
• Cover the Central US region.
• Support field sales and managed access teams in resolving reimbursement issues.
• Leverage experience with launching rare disease products and working with pricing databases, J Codes, and HUB services.
• Stay updated on health policy changes affecting reimbursement.
• Develop and communicate ethical, customer-oriented reimbursement strategies.

Experience Required

• 10+ years of related experience in pharma/biotech, with 7+ years in a similar reimbursement role.
• Experience managing large geographic areas (5+ states).
• Knowledge of rare disease/specialty products and current reimbursement trends.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong relationship-building and strategic initiative skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, PowerBI, QlikView, Adobe, and data analysis.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Biological Sciences; graduate degree preferred.
