Job summary

STV Incorporated, based in New York City, is seeking a Sr. Field Inspector to join our team and work from our field offices.

The role requires flexibility to cover swing, night, or weekend shifts to ensure quality and compliance on project sites. The ideal candidate will hold a Civil Engineering degree or related field, bring 10+ years in construction supervision/inspection, and have experience with rail, tunnels, structures, stations, and substations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in construction supervision/inspection.
• Experience with rail, tunnel, structural, stations preferred.
• Experience with substations preferred.
• Advanced certifications (NICET, ACI, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on conditions, work in progress, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Prepare written documentation: daily work reports, inspection reports, time and material records, and unit price work.
• Review and mark plans and specs to ensure compliance with work performed.
• Observe work conditions for safety regulation compliance.
• Communicate progress with stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Other related duties as required.
