Job Summary:

This role will be largely responsible for working closely with the Client and Proposal Team to develop technical content for federal proposals. This person will deliver high-quality, well-organized thought-leadership content that is technical, but still understandable to a non-developer, tech-savvy audience. The Technical Solutions Writer will ultimately draft clear, concise, accurate, innovative, and compliant responses to RFPs.

Job Duties:

• Serve as a primary writer for technical content of proposals
• Collaborate with Client and Proposal Team members to develop scope and priorities
• Author, plan, develop, organize, write, and edit content for a variety of capabilities for government customers
• Manage updates and revisions to technical content
• Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and provide technical guidance, input, and written responses for winning solutions
• Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to author content
• Participate in solution and strategy sessions with SMEs and other proposal team members to innovate and constantly improve our approach to responses
• Review and correct material for content, style, and compliance
• Convey concepts and processes in a clear and concise manner
• Continuously curate, grow, and update our team library of approved content, driving and organizing proposal content to maximize reuse effectiveness and utility
• Comprehend a broad range of technical concepts
• Experience with U.S. Federal and/or Defense procurement processes and developing RFP responses

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of technical writing experience
• Experience working in government contracting
• Ability to write complex technical solutions in an easy-to-read, easy-to-follow, audience-focused manner is a MUST
• Experience in writing non-technical sections such as management, staffing, technical past performance, quality, and transition
• Highly organized self-starter who excels with limited direction
• Highly reliable, ensuring deliverables are achieved within appropriate time frames
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Must be a US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $145,000-175,000 per year. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
