Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled work to maintain/repair Utilities, performs skilled maintenance repairs work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet GMP standards. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including, Plant waste systems, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety, security systems Work with OEMs & contractors to make repairs or upgrades to equipment, Participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs and the following Utility Equipment:

Equipment Responsible for Maintaining:

  1. Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
  2. Emergency lighting
  3. Fire suppression systems
  4. Chillers
  5. Chilled water supply systems
  6. Dust collection
  7. Water purification systems
  8. Life safety protection equipment/systems.
  9. Preventative maintenance
  10. Equipment inspection and repair
  11. Troubleshooting
  12. Rigging and alignment of equipment
  13. Welding and fabrication
  14. Hydraulic systems
  15. Air compressors
  16. Steam Generators
  17. HVAC Controls and Maintenance
  18. Pumps
  19. team Trap and Steam Pump maintenance
  20. Water testing on Boilers and Chillers and working with Contractor on water treatment
  21. Dock Doors and Levelers Maintenance and repair
  22. Roll-up doors in plant areas Maintenance and Repair DI water system Maintenance and Repair
  23. Water Tower Maintenance and Repair
  24. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe monitoring and treating of wastewater from process operation before discharging to city plant while maintaining compliance with all wastewater treatment rules and regulations.
  25. Will conduct tests, add, and adjust chemicals as needed based on results and clean tanks as needed.
  26. Work with Vendors who have contracts related to wastewater and other Utilities related work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Certification:

Wastewater Certified a Plus

Experience:

Requires a minimum of two years prior Utilities maintenance training and experience. HVAC background preferred/plus. Experience with building control software a plus. Some experience with PLCs & drives a plus. Experience with steam systems a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Requires:

  1. Fluent English skills to understand and apply complex maintenance manual procedures. Communicate with supervisors and others; and maintain various routine records.
  2. Knowledge of: Power and hand tools used in Utilities maintenance; recordkeeping techniques and regulations, including use of automated record systems; OSHA workplace health and safety standards and procedures; use of company computers to use automated recordkeeping tools, automated system controls, and email.

Physical Requirements:

Stand/walk and perform physical labor for most of the working shift. Pull, push, squat, etc. to accomplish repairs. Intermittently lift loads of up to 50 pounds.

Environment:

Intermittent exposure to noise levels loud enough to require the use of hearing protection in designated areas. Periodic exposure to warm or cold temperature levels, fumes, vibration, dust, etc. sufficient to cause minor discomfort. The need for the employee to wear a uniform, hair net, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, dust mask, respirator, protective gloves, and back support, as necessary. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.

Safety:

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

The salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $102,000.00.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
