Job summary

Insight Global is searching for an experienced mechanical operations leader to drive performance in a large-scale data center environment. You will lead a team of technicians, manage preventive and corrective maintenance, and be the escalation point for mechanical incidents to ensure peak uptime.

The role requires deep expertise in HVAC and mechanical operations within critical facilities, plus CMMS proficiency and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading mechanical or HVAC operations in a critical environment.
• Experience managing maintenance technicians or service teams.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• EPA Certification and mission-critical operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of 15-20 Mechanical Facilities Technicians.
• Oversee critical cooling infrastructure supporting large-scale data center operations.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Serve as the escalation point for mechanical incidents and outages.
• Drive uptime, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and maintenance partners.
• Coach, develop, and train technicians.
• Partner with engineering, operations, construction, and commissioning teams.

Insight Global's client is aggressively expanding its hyperscale data center footprint and is seeking experienced mechanical operations leaders to help drive one of the largest mission-critical facilities projects in the country.

We're looking for hands-on operations leaders who know chillers inside and out, can lead teams of technicians, respond to critical incidents, and keep complex cooling infrastructure running at peak performance.

Required Experience:
