Job summary

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Sr. Facilities Manager to oversee daily office and manufacturing facility operations in San Jose.

You will coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and site activities to ensure optimal facility performance. As a senior member of the facilities team, you will manage budgets, plan modifications, lead vendor negotiations, and supervise maintenance staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years facilities management experience with a technical background in facilities management and manufacturing maintenance.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Extensive experience managing contractors and sub contractors.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Outstanding problem‑solving skills and ability to develop and implement maintenance solutions.
  • Knowledge to support day-to-day operations and multiple annual projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate repair and routine maintenance on facilities and equipment across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.
  • Plan, budget, and schedule facilities modifications with cost estimates and contracts.
  • Manage facilities and equipment maintenance staff and ensure continuous service.
  • Participate in selecting contractors and negotiating service agreements; monitor performance.
  • Coordinate departmental safety activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead investigations of injuries and incidents and prepare reports.
  • Maintain professional behavior reflecting company policies and practices.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of fire protection systems.
  • Track and close facilities work orders.

Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is looking for a seasoned Sr. Facilities Manager to manage the daily activities required to support office/manufacturing operations and support buildings. As a senior member of our facilities team, you will be focusing on providing site support to all facets of the site facilities'requirements relating to building and equipment repair, preventive maintenance, inspections, and various site activities as requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate repair/routine maintenance on facilities and equipment including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, air compressors, Waste treatment, janitorial activity, and tasks relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the buildings
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, and scheduling facilities modifications. This includes cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction
  • Manage facilities and equipment maintenance staff and ensure continuous service
  • Participate in the selection of contractors and sub-contractors, vendor negotiation of service agreements and day-today monitoring of vendor performance to assure full compliance with standards established within the service agreement
  • Coordinate all departmental safety activity, including training, assuring that all environmental and safety requirements are attained
  • Lead injury and near‑miss accidents investigations to minimize recurrence and to prepare accident reports. Coordinates accident investigations and criminal act investigations occurring on company property
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices
  • Carry out routine maintenance and inspection of fire protection system
  • Tracking and assigning facilities work orders until closure
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
