Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to work in our San Jose office, coordinating with production, engineering and sales to fulfill customer requests. The role requires following work instructions to meet tight schedules and to ensure accurate, timely responses.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in electronics, strong English communication, and a technical mindset. In-office attendance is required during standard hours with team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 1–2 years of practical working experience within electronics.
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes and multimeters for hardware failure analysis.
  • Ability to read/schematics and understand fundamental electronic design principles.
  • Solid understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes and basic soldering.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in capacity and resource planning for production lines within schedule and budget.
  • Analyze workforce utilization, space and tooling requirements for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan production capabilities and schedules.
  • Apply lean manufacturing tools to improve flow of material and information.
  • Estimate production times, staffing needs, and related costs for management decisions.
  • Evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and implementation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assists in capacity and resource planning for the production lines, designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budget to improve efficiency.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space and tooling requirements, and designs the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to recommend manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Effectively utilize lean manufacturing tools for continuously improve the flow of material and information in the factory, including factory layouts and visual management.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred
  • 1–2 years of practical working experience within the electronics industry.
  • Proficient in using laboratory diagnostic tools, specifically oscilloscopes and multimeters, to perform comprehensive hardware failure analysis.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, alongside a solid understanding of fundamental electronic design principles.
  • Solid understanding of computer and server architectures, combined with the ability to use Linux command-line tools for system-level and board-level failure detection/analysis.
  • Practical knowledge of the PCBA manufacturing process, including hands-on capability to perform basic component-level soldering
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for documenting technical reports and collaborating with team members.

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$73,500 - $100,000

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
