Job summary

Bachelor’s-educated Estimator with experience in water and wastewater construction is sought to develop accurate estimates for facilities, pump stations, and piping in a Louisiana project environment. The role focuses on self-performed work, scope coverage, risk assessment, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, subcontractor evaluation, scheduling input, and hands-on budgeting to support project setup and execution from bid through handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.

You'll play a key role in pursuing and planning water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing accurate, competitive estimates and partnering closely with operations and project management from bid through project handoff.
