Blattner Company is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead procurement and estimating for gas-powered generation projects. The role requires coordinating bids, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting new project awards through strong negotiation and presentations.

You will plan pre-bid estimates, develop preliminary schedules, and guide a team toward producing high-quality bids while maintaining cost discipline. Remote/traveling role with competitive compensation.

• Requires a four-year construction or engineering degree with 5–7 years of experience as an estimator, preferably in gas-powered generation.
• Knowledge of construction market dynamics, estimating strategies, cost control and proper scheduling of purchases/work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost coding systems.

This is a unique opportunity to help build this new business from the ground up, backed by a company with decades of proven success in the energy sector. This position will help us shape the processes and standards that carry this business forward to deliver end-to-end hybrid energy solutions. **A DAY IN THE LIFE**The Senior Estimator leads the procurement and estimating process by coordinating bidding procedures, ensuring bid accuracy, and maintaining technical compliance. In this role, you will also play a key part in securing new project awards through effective negotiation, impactful presentations, and clearly communicating what sets our company apart.**STEP INTO THE ROLE*** Identifies and calculates cost of project safety requirements (training, PPE) into bid. Identifies and determines JHA risks and includes costs in estimates. Pursues, selects and utilizes subcontractors who meet risk management criteria.* Displays personal and professional ethics and complies with and enforces company policies and procedures when bidding projects, including utilizing company estimating software, performing bid reviews, etc. Takes personal responsibility to ensure that a quality bid has been produced.* Plan the estimate for and during the pre-bid meeting.
