Oryx Advanced Materials in Fremont, California is seeking a Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure our production equipment remains in excellent condition. The role entails a mix of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant college degree, 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, and strong communication skills. This position operates on a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

We are seeking a hands‑on Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping our production equipment and facility systems in excellent working condition. This role combines mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting with proactive maintenance planning and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair production tools, utilities, and support systems.
• Coordinate machine downtime, repairs, and maintenance windows with production teams.
• Work directly with equipment vendors, service providers, and repair shops to ensure timely support and parts availability.
• Support installation and setup of new tools and utilities, following technical manuals and engineering instructions.
• Maintain organized records of service activities, spare parts, and calibration logs.
• Promote a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• College degree/diploma in mechanical/mechatronics, electrical/electronics or similar field.
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations.
• Excellence in communications and project management skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting tools and repairs.
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Self‑driven, and able to work collaboratively with other functional organizations/teams.
