Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Sr. Enterprise Account Manager for Aviation in the Redmond area.

You will own a portfolio of Starlink enterprise aviation clients, guiding onboarding, ongoing account management, and growth while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet revenue objectives. The role requires a strong background in enterprise account management, aviation knowledge, and the ability to drive long-term client relationships, negotiations, and program execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience with 8+ years in business development, program or account management.
  • Minimum 7+ years in a customer-facing role with enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of strategic Enterprise Aviation customers from contract signature through onboarding and retention.
  • Build relationships with executive stakeholders to identify requirements and drive revenue realization quickly.
  • Communicate customer feedback to influence product development and service delivery.
  • Deliver impeccable service, with timely acknowledgement and resolution of issues.
  • Retain and grow account value across hardware and service revenue.
  • Owns forecasted revenue levels and communicates readiness, requirements, and risks.

SR. ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT MANAGER, AVIATION

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, delivers slow-latency broadband internet around the world. The Starlink Enterprise Account Management team serves as the point of contact for Starlink’s growing base of enterprise customers from contract signature through successful activation, ensuring all contract terms are fulfilled. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of our most strategic Enterprise Aviation customers, owning the interface from contract signature onwards including onboarding, ongoing account management, and long-term retention/growth of the relationship and revenue
  • Build relationships with executive stakeholders to identify requirements and manage expectations, driving revenue realization as quickly as possible
  • Collect, communicate and champion customer feedback internally to influence and steer programmatic and technical development required to maintain and grow your business
  • Deliver impeccable customer service, including efficient acknowledgement and resolution of issues
  • Retaining and growing the value of accounts in both hardware and service revenue
  • Act as an extreme owner of assigned accounts to realize forecasted revenue on or ahead of schedule, identifying and successfully communicating readiness levels, requirements, schedules and risks
  • Identify and lead implementation of process and system enhancements to improve handoffs and execution across various cross-functional teams, evolve the customer experience, or scale the business while balancing resources and headcount
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; OR high school diploma/equivalency certificate and 8+ years of professional business development, program management, sales or account management experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Ability to interact with all levels within airline management on technical and account management issues
  • Significant knowledge or experience in commercial and/or business aviation, satellite communications, and program or account management
  • Experience working with the FAA, EASA, or other aerospace regulatory bodies
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and delivering under tight deadlines and resource constraints
  • Experience building long-term and successful customer relationships demonstrating empathy, active listening, and resiliency skills
  • Ability to synthesize multiple unique requirements and suggest smart solutions, products, or features
  • Track record of demonstrating sound business judgment, evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations that were adopted and ultimately successful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft and present professional presentations at all levels
  • Ability to manage execution of significant or complex contracts, including initial intake, renegotiation of terms, and schedules. Especially after a contract is signed
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations shifts
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time as needed to customer sites/meetings
  • This is NOT a remote position and would require relocation if not local to the Woodinville, WA, Redmond, WA, Hawthorne, CA, or Bastrop, TX area
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: Level 3: $135,000.00 - $220,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.

  • You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

  • You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
  • Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law.
  • Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
