GE Vernova, Inc. seeks an experienced project engineering leader to manage a portfolio of Americas Generator projects.

You will guide a team of senior engineers, set project plans, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery while interfacing with proposal, cost estimating, and partners. You will drive technical leadership, maintain global process consistency, and apply strong judgment to solve complex engineering and program challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 6+ years in design or project engineering.
• Experience in Electrical Systems or Generator Engineering.

Job Description Summary

Lead a portfolio of Americas Project Engineering projects with a team of Generator engineers in the execution of Generator scope. This team represents a simplified regional organization to enable faster decision making closer to the customer. Own the project control activity regionally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation. Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is high autonomy within the role with fast pace of execution. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
• Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
• Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
• Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
• May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering degree from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years of experience in design engineering or project engineering capacity.
• This role requires significant experience in the Electrical Systems or Generator Engineering/Technology and/or Customer Project Engineering.
• Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. We will not sponsor work visas, now or in the future, for this position vacancy.

Desired Characteristics

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or engineering is highly preferred.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
