Summary

We seek an experienced Data Engineering leader to oversee data systems architecture and management, focusing on large-scale data warehouses, lakes, and analytics platforms on GCP. Responsibilities include leading a team of 5-8 engineers, developing scalable data pipelines, and automating ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data management principles, tools like Kafka, Splunk, Collibra, Dataplex, Alation, and strong skills in Python, GCP, and DevOps. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Experience with large-scale data solutioning and operationalization on GCP.
• Lead a team of 5-8 engineers to develop data engineering solutions.
• Oversee architecture and management of data systems.
• Ensure effective data storage, processing, and utilization aligned with strategic goals.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines and automate ETL processes.
• Extract application telemetry data and structure it for reporting tools.
• Experience with data cataloging and metadata tools: Collibra, Dataplex, Alation.
• Create reporting solutions and monitor data usage for billing and SLAs.
• Collaborate on software design and architecture, creating effective component structures.
• Work with teams to gather requirements and provide technical support and training.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities through collaboration with business partners.

Position Specifications
