Job description

IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Westchester, IL.

The Senior Software Engineer stays current on modern technologies and innovations and collaborates with developers and product architects to develop high-performing, highly scalable solutions. The ideal candidate must have at least 7 years of experience working in a development team utilizing C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, WCF, RESTful services, and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTML5, and Knockout JS.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. 7+ years of application development experience using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.
2. Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, and HTML5.
3. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and interfaces.
4. Strong knowledge of design patterns, dependency injection, and domain-driven design.
5. Experience implementing automated testing platforms and writing unit tests.
6. Experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science) with 7+ years of relevant application development experience.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within the project team and with other application teams.
3. Strong organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail. Must be proactive in enhancing technical knowledge through research, experimentation, and training.
4. Knowledge of the auto insurance or auto auction industry is a plus.
