Nationwide Technology seeks a Senior Engineer, Software Engineer (Test Automation Developer) to drive quality across enterprise digital portal initiatives. Hybrid schedule in Columbus, Ohio, with 2 days in the office weekly.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high-quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document, and maintain applications.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degrees are preferred. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
Experience: Two or more years of software engineering, analysis, or related technology experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript. Knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle moderately complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resources Business Partner.

Hybrid to normal office environment. Associates may have on-call responsibility after normal working hours and/or on weekends.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. Note on Compensation for Part-Time Roles: Please be aware that the salary ranges listed below reflect full-time compensation. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full-time schedule.The national salary range for Sr Engineer, Software Engineer : $76,000.00-$143,000.00The expected starting salary range for Sr Engineer, Software Engineer : $76,000.00 - $115,000.00.
