Getinge in Pleasanton, CA seeks an innovative engineer to lead early-stage concept generation and translational research for medical devices in a regulated environment. You will invent and develop novel technologies and advance them toward product development.

Qualifications

Job Overview

Leads hands‑on innovation for medical devices, focusing on early‑stage concept generation, feasibility, and translational research. Responsible for inventing and developing novel technologies and advancing them toward product development within a regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Minimum Requirements

• Master's (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of experience.
• 3+ years in medical device R&D preferred
• Experience in innovation and regulated environments

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong engineering fundamentals and minimally invasive medical device design
• Prototyping and testing experience (CNC, 3D printing)
• Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485
• Strong problem‑solving and communication
• CAD design in Solidworks

Salary range: $120k - $135k
