Job summary

Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our team as we expand into the Western states.

You will lead the mechanical engineering group, coordinate project scope, budgets, and schedules, and serve as a technical resource across multi-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, a PE license, and 10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project scope, budget, schedule, and technical interfaces.
  • Provide leadership for the mechanical engineering team.
  • Review calculations, analyses, and design data.
  • Lead weekly client meetings to discuss project needs.
  • Interface with Project Managers and clients per schedule.
  • Assist with project control documentation and procurement.
  • Review specifications for performance, codes, and vendor drawings.

Essential Functions
  • Engineer will coordinate and assign project scope, and manage budget schedule, status, and technical interface issues.
  • Provide leadership for the mechanical engineering team and be a resource within the multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Oversee engineering calculation checking, analyses, and other tasks using prescribed methods and procedures.
  • Organize and lead weekly meetings with clients to update, discuss, and review project needs.
  • Interface with Project Managers and clients per schedule and team demands.
  • Assist with project control documentation as required, including Project design, and material/equipment procurement.
  • Review or prepare specifications detailing performance requirements, design data, applicable codes/standards, and vendor drawing requirements.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Experience Preferred
  • CAESAR II and/or Pipe-Flo knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with upstream (production) facilities, midstream facilities, and pipelines.
