Job summary

A reputable engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate multi-discipline engineering and design activities. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, over 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, and at least 5 years in project engineering. You will be responsible for communicating with clients about project scope and checking designs. Occasional site visits are required as part of the role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Butte, MT

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements : Occasional site visits

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate multi‑discipline engineering and design activities
• Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
• Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing effective construction/installation
• Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractor
• Check drawings and calculations.
• Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• 5+ years of project engineer experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

• Professional Engineering license.
• Previous experience in oil & gas industry.
