We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.

Overview

As part of the GIC Supply Chain Engineering team, you will help improve manufacturing productivity, equipment reliability, and operating costs across multiple plants. You will combine plant engineering, maintenance and reliability expertise, data analytics, and stakeholder collaboration to identify improvement opportunities, solve technical problems, and implement scalable solutions. This role reports to the Engineering Management team and works closely with plant, corporate, and international stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analyze equipment performance, cost, and failure data to identify root causes and recommend solutions that improve reliability, uptime, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and optimize maintenance strategies using Reliability Centered Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Loss Tree Analysis, Why-Why Analysis, and breakdown elimination methodologies.
  • Conduct asset life-cycle analysis and support decisions related to equipment repair, replacement, capital investment, spare parts, lubrication, and engineering inventory management.
  • Use data from SAP, Maximo, and other maintenance systems to analyze inventory, sourcing spend, spare parts, and reliability performance.
  • Apply Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, and statistical or predictive modelling techniques to identify trends, forecast reliability, automate reporting, and develop performance dashboards.
  • Lead improvement projects across multiple manufacturing plants, align technical solutions with stakeholders, and support the implementation of maintenance and reliability strategies.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and plant teams, maintain process documentation and best‑practice standards, and support knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Track and report key performance indicators, including maintenance cost, productivity, downtime, inventory performance, and reliability improvements, while supporting safety, integrity, and operational excellence initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Full-time bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of plant experience, with exposure to maintenance and reliability improvement, inventory management, and data‑driven analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and inventory management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or Oracle.
  • Practical experience with maintenance and reliability methodologies, including Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown or work process failure root‑cause analysis, and engineering spares management.
  • Experience with mechanical maintenance of processing, mixing, and packaging equipment.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, early equipment management, plant or operations continuous improvement, and maintenance program development.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Ability to perform descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Strong problem‑solving, project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Reliability Engineering.
  • Seven or more years of experience in maintenance and reliability, preferably with significant plant‑floor exposure.
  • Certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Project Management Professional, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with agile project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new analytical capabilities and use data to improve maintenance, reliability, inventory, and business outcomes.
