Job description

Title: Reliability Engineer

Visa: GC/USC

The responsibility of the Reliability Engineer is to define the optimal asset reliability strategies for technical assets in accordance with their criticality for the business and drive qualitative and sustainable asset performance (RFT, cost and SA) by maximizing the technical availability of critical assets.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance, operations and project departments on equipment reliability matters.
  2. Support and contribute to the overall site goal of maximizing asset performance.
  3. Develop a long-term vision and plan for manufacturing equipment reliability performance improvement.
  4. Drive an integrated risk management approach for EHSS, Quality and technical reliability in a cost effective way according to site procedures and current GMP standards.
  5. Develop standards across the equipment lifecycle using RCM (Reliability centered maintenance) methodology, apply OAC (operator asset care) where applicable.
  6. Monitor and analyze the reliability performance, and drive root cause elimination & improvements.
  7. Coordinate across engineering, maintenance and operations.
  8. Drive technological innovation within MAM (industry 4.0, use operating hours to upgrade maintenance plans, apply smart sensors, etc.).
  9. High degree of internal collaboration (manufacturing, quality, engineering, internal CoE’s, …) to remove barriers, clarify roles and responsibilities, coordinate and execute project plans.
  10. Extensive interaction with external partners (knowledge centers, specialized contractors, external experts) and collaboration with universities and industry consortia to drive innovation.
  11. Encourages and supports the identification and development of innovative solutions to reliability problems and opportunities.
  12. Enhanced equipment performance (safety, compliance, reliability) aligned with asset criticality.
  13. Driving the reliability and digital culture in the entire organization.
  14. The Reliability Engineer has the authority to carry out all functions associated with the duties listed above. However, changes to existing or implementations to new procedures/protocols will require the authorization of the Site Maintenance Lead.

Qualifications:

  1. Four-year engineering degree and relevant experience.
  2. Reliability and/or Maintenance experience within a process or pharmaceutical cGMP regulated environment.
  3. Experience with best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RBA/Weibull or FMECA.
  4. Experience in failure analysis.
  5. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
