Job summary

Strata-G, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking an experienced Sr. Engineer I-II with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of experience.

The role is onsite at Oak Ridge, TN, with responsibility for leading engineering estimates, design scopes, and resource coordination on LICOR projects. The successful candidate will coordinate with engineering supervisors, develop engineering products, and maintain compliance with industry codes and company safety policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7 or more years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion LICOR projects, serving as the primary engineering point of contact responsible for establishing engineering estimates, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing overall engineering execution on assigned projects.
• Serve as the final approver on design scopes of work, ensuring work is performed within scope and with appropriate rigor.
• Coordinate with Engineering Supervisors to ensure correct scoping and allocation of adequate engineering resources for design, procurement, and construction activities.
• Assist in developing engineering products such as calculations, specifications, scopes of work, analyses, designs and design changes, reports, etc., within the relevant engineering discipline and grade level.
• Follow procedures in the execution of day-to-day activities and maintain working knowledge of configuration management.
• Maintain working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate oral and written reports regarding project status and keep proper engineering files and records.
• Understand and use computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
• Comply with the company's safety awareness program and office/field safety policies.
• Develop an understanding of the role of each functional area within the company and align with company core values.
• Act with integrity in all elements of responsibility and communicate ideas clearly while listening to others.
