Responsibilities

  • Develop operating plans, data, models, and analytical tools for engineers and operations.
  • Lead transformation of business processes and operational tools to achieve global excellence.
  • Prepare long-range plans, expansion, and budgetary needs, including regulatory matters.
  • Develop plans for efficient package volume distribution and optimal facility utilization.
  • Lead projects ensuring compliance with policies and FedEx requirements.
  • Monitor and improve productivity, service, and cost performance.
  • Lead special study teams to improve productivity and performance.
  • Conduct research and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies.
  • Plan and organize tasks, priorities, and schedules for initiatives.
  • Create requirement specs, design, testing, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead studies to apply innovative engineering concepts to operations and customer solutions.
  • Evaluate capital and expense requests and annual budgets.
  • Develop project and operational budgets for cost savings.
  • Collect and report on financial and operational indicators.
  • Prepare business justifications for funding approvals.
  • Design and deliver technical training through workshops and seminars.

Essential Functions
  • Developing and implementing operating plans, conducting studies, preparing data, and developing models and analytical tools for engineers and operations.
  • Leading the transformation of business processes and operational tools to achieve global excellence.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and monitoring short and long-range plans, including those related to expansion, new products, procedures, GSE, sort equipment, regulatory compliance, government agencies, and manpower needs.
  • Developing plans for efficient package volume distribution to ensure optimum facility utilization
  • Leading projects to ensure suppliers and hired professional services comply with policies, procedures, and governing authorities, and that all documentation adheres to FedEx requirements and processes
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and recommending ways to improve productivity, service, and cost performance.
  • Leading and serving on special study teams established to investigate and implement projects related to improving total corporate or operational productivity and performance.
  • Conducting research, evaluation, and recommendations of emerging technologies, business and management techniques, philosophies, and methodologies.
  • Leading projects and studies in support of objectives, including planning and organizing task assignments, priorities, schedules, and activities for initiatives.
  • Developing project plans, communication plans, and project status updates for stakeholders
  • Creating requirement specifications, solution design, system development and testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Leading studies to implement innovative engineering concepts into operations, systems, and customer solutions to benefit FedEx and its customers.
  • Evaluating capital and expense requests, as well as annual and long-range budget processes.
  • Developing project and operational budgets based on recommendations for cost savings.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on financial and operational indicators for corporate and departmental initiatives.
  • Preparing and presenting business justifications to support funding approval processes.
  • Designing and delivering technical training to personnel through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. -
  • Facilitating communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical and local expertise related to corporate or department initiatives and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education

BS degree in industrial engineering or a related field required. ,

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years of relevant experience required
