Job summary

Tekhawks LLC is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to support the development of orthopedic medical devices and battery systems. The role focuses on embedded software and firmware development for medical devices.

You will develop bare-metal and RTOS firmware in C/C++, implement communications between handheld device, charger, and battery, and collaborate with electrical engineers on integration and board bring-up, while applying IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.

Qualifications

• Senior-level embedded software or firmware experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills; Python experience preferred.
• Experience with bare-metal firmware, RTOS, and device communications.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDP.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle processes.
• Embedded Linux development including drivers, services, and apps.

Job Description

Support the development of orthopedic medical devices and battery systems. The primary focus is embedded software and firmware development for medical devices.

Responsibilities

Develop bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware using C/C++.

Implement communications between the handheld device, charger, and battery.

Partner closely with electrical engineers on embedded systems development and some adjacent EE activities.

Lead hardware/software integration activities, Board bring-up, troubleshooting, root cause analysis.

Maintain technical and product documentation.

Apply medical-device development practices, including IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
