Insight Global seeks a Senior Email Security and Messaging Architect to lead the design and operation of enterprise email security controls. You will own secure gateway architecture, hygiene, and data loss prevention across Proofpoint, Defender for Office 365, and related products.

• Advanced experience with Proofpoint or Defender for Office 365/EOP.
• Deep Exchange Server/Online and hybrid mail flow knowledge.
• Hands-on email DLP, incident response, PowerShell, and APIs.
• Experience with Proofpoint and Microsoft email security stack, migrations or major policy redesigns.
• Certified in Microsoft or Proofpoint products is a plus.

Job Description

The Senior Email Security and Messaging Architect is the senior technical resource responsible for the design, integration, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise email security controls. The role centers on secure email gateway architecture, email hygiene, cyber threat prevention, and data loss prevention across products such as Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Exchange Online Protection, and comparable secure email security technologies.

Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and hybrid mail flow are critical parts of the environment. The successful candidate must understand Exchange architecture deeply enough to design and troubleshoot the entire message path from external DNS and the secure email gateway through transport services, connectors, relays, and mailbox delivery. This role serves as a Level 3 escalation point and works closely with messaging, cybersecurity operations, identity, network, compliance, and application.

Skills and Requirements

• Advanced experience with Proofpoint or Microsoft Defender for Office 365/EOP, including email hygiene, threat protection, phishing/BEC investigation, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Deep Exchange Server, Exchange Online, hybrid mail flow, and SMTP troubleshooting experience across connectors, relays, transport rules, DNS, certificates, and message routing.
• Hands-on email DLP and automation experience, including sensitive-data controls, incident response, PowerShell, APIs, and Level 3 production support.
• Experience with both Proofpoint and the Microsoft email security stack, plus secure email gateway migrations, consolidations, or major policy redesigns.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview DLP/Information Protection and integrations with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or other SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• Experience in a regulated environment, such as healthcare, higher education, research, government, or financial services, plus relevant Proofpoint or Microsoft certifications.
