Sr. Electronics Engineer - Avionics Design & Test, 5+ Years

Description: Join Our Team as an Electronics Engineer on the Missile Systems Engineering and Integration Team.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility, one of the Coolest places to work: King of Prussia PA.

What does this role look like?
Are you willing to help solve challenges in a team environment using your electronics & test background and experience? This position needs a skilled engineer in the areas of Electronics/Avionics design, test & integration.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

  1. Support testing and trouble-shooting of Navy Experimental Reentry (NER) bodies.
  2. Provide technical support for test console development, modification and certification for various experimental flight test projects.
  3. Apply electronics design and troubleshooting principles to develop new and improve existing electronics hardware.
  4. Collaborate with other engineers from electronics, software, RF, GNC & Cables disciplines, plus production and program management to meet technical and schedule requirements.

To be effective in this role, you will need:
  1. 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
  2. While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  2. Experience with design, testing, and/or troubleshooting electrical hardware including reading schematics.
  3. While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills:
  1. Experience designing/testing missile or satellite hardware and related test hardware, including Certified Test Conductor (CTC) or Certified Product Engineer (CPE).
  2. Ability to conduct detailed failure analysis as well as develop and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  3. Experience with DoD cyber accreditation of test hardware.
  4. Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to management and customers.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members.
  6. Ability to work on-site in King of Prussia, PA.
  7. Ability to travel a few times per year.
  8. Existing Secret security clearance.
