Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain thorough communication with Electrical Supervisor, peers, and operations.
- Oversee Vallourec Electrical/Automation Maintenance personnel and external contractors within the FQM maintenance area.
- Exhibit the ability to lead by example on an everyday basis.
- Maintain a positive posture in all activities and safety programs.
- Work within changing business conditions and technologies and make the necessary adaptations to help the department stay effective.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills while working collaboratively with others without line authority.
- Manage the satellite inventory in the FQM Maintenance area.
- Troubleshoot all electrical/mechanical systems when issues arise.
- Provide assistance and direction to others when needed.
- Participate and lead as required in maintenance improvement activities (e.g., CIT, MADE, RCA, and CAPEX).
- Evaluate new and replacement electronic/electrical hardware.
- Redline electrical schematics for updates and corrections, and transfer all redlines to AutoCAD.
- Prepare down day work and manage the list to completion.
- Generate and verify electrical inspections/PMs and ensure their timely completion.
- Oversee equipment delay corrections and determine root causes.
- Keep electrical delays below department set goals.
- Accurately document work history in SAP, including entering and closing out work orders and scanning out repair parts from inventory.
- Provide recommendations for equipment based on experience, OSHA, and NEC regulations.
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensure inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Demonstrate superior problem-solving and decision-making skills.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in industrial electrical/electronic maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to perform basic operations with various units of measure.
- Reasoning ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to handle complex and hazardous systems problems.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
- Working knowledge of SAP or willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or willingness to learn.
