Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to drive development and integration of mechanical and electrical systems for power tools and equipment. The role focuses on thermal management, DFx, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-performance, durable products.
With a minimum of 5 years in electro-mechanical design, you will lead design reviews, optimize PCB layouts, and mentor teams across Mechanical, Electrical, and Advanced Groups.

The Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role in driving the development and integration of mechanical and electrical systems in our cutting-edge electric power tools and equipment. This position is integral to the creation of industry-changing products that redefine performance and durability.
Identify opportunities to optimize material, component, and production costs while maintaining product quality. Implement Design for Excellence (DFX) strategies, including design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly, to enhance efficiency across the product lifecycle. Partner with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing and manufacturing processes. Drive initiatives to optimize component selection and improve assembly processes to minimize variation and enhance reliability.
Lead the development of best practices for airflow and thermal management. Conduct thermal simulations and provide expert insights to optimize PCB layout and material selection. Develop and maintain a thermal performance guide to ensure product requirements are met.
Investigate new materials and technologies to advance thermal management. Develop best practices for design packages, ensuring consistent specifications across teams and partners.
Experience in product development cycles and working in consumer product manufacturing and design.
Serve as a bridge between Mechanical, Electrical, and Advanced Groups, recommending optimized solutions. Establish and enforce ESD and EMC best practices to enhance system reliability.
