Job summary

Irving Knight Group is hiring a Senior Electrical System Technician for a cement plant environment in Kansas City. The role involves troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and electronic systems.

You will lead projects, ensure safety compliance, and support plant utilities with a strong emphasis on reliability. The position requires experience in electrical maintenance and instrumentation, plus reading plans and manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance execution and planning or related roles.
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems and maintenance practices.
• Reading electrical plans, drawings, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain plant electrical, instrumentation, and electronic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and electrical inspections.
• Support electrical and instrumentation planning and coordination.
• Improve PM job plans and recommend spare parts.
• Lead assigned plant projects from planning through completion.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain equipment reliability and system integrity.
• Diagnose recurring issues and participate in root cause analyses.
• Create, track, and close work orders with accurate documentation.
• Read electrical plans, drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Train and supervise contractors and maintenance technicians as needed.
• Support plant utilities, including HVAC, compressed air, chillers, and cooling towers.
