Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer, NPI to lead new product introduction and transfers to manufacturing. You will design interconnect wiring, harnesses, schematics, and test procedures while guiding a small team.

The role requires hands-on bench work, rapid scale-up, and collaboration with vendors. A BS/MS in EE and 2+ years in relevant fields are expected. Knowledge of high voltage systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Electrical Engineering or New Product Introduction.
• Experience developing schematics and wire harness CAD (AutoCAD).
• Hands-on lab work with high voltage equipment and test equipment.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer new NPI projects to Bloom Manufacturing and CM’s.
• Develop interconnect wiring diagrams, schematics, harness drawings and test procedures.
• Lead electrical team and perform failure analysis with corrective actions.
• Develop BOMs, ECNs, deviations, and work with suppliers on test fixtures.
• Train manufacturing personnel on test processes and equipment.

Job Description: Sr. Electrical Engineer, NPIBloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer, NPI to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.Location: This position will be based in Fremont, CA and will involve 25% traveling.Role and Responsibilities:Manage new NPI Project transfers to Bloom Manufacturing and CM’s.Ability to communicate clearly & professionally within the team and also with external vendors.Develop interconnect wiring diagrams/schematics, wire harness drawings, and test proceduresAbility to lead electrical team.Failure analysis of electrical components and preventative or corrective actionPanel layout and prototypingDevelop Work InstructionsDevelop, and/or work with suppliers to generate test requirements, test fixtures and test softwareDevelop and manage BOMs, ECNs, DeviationsWork within the development team to ensure design for manufacturabilityDevelop test equipment from concept to commissioningTrain manufacturing personnel on test process, test equipment, and test softwareSkills and Experience:2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or New Product Introduction. The candidate will have worked in oil and gas, energy and power, pharmaceutical production, chemical processing, large capital equipment, or related industry.
