Responsibilities

• Assist Sales with technical proposals and pricing on engineered orders.
• Interpret customer specifications, drawings and one-line diagrams for quotes and estimates.
• Provide engineering project management as needed.
• Design and develop cost-effective products meeting customer requirements.
• Develop metrics on health of sales support process for Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule standard product line development programs.
• Support Field Service in troubleshooting load banks in the field.
• Coordinate with third party certifiers and act as liaison.
• Respond to sales/engineering inquiries about regulatory requirements.
• Develop tools to support technical questions and quotes (AI / Chat).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing and designing electrical test equipment based on customer specifications and requirements. The role will focus on support of the Sales Team through application development discussions, participating in the development of cost standards, the review of prepared quotes and developing tools and processes to enable technically accurate sales quotes on request. Secondarily the role will support the Sales Order conversion process delivering standard and custom products based on configured features using approved design processes while also participating in continuous product improvements and cost reductions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

• Assists the Sales Team to prepare technical proposals and pricing on engineered orders. Supports Sales through the participation in sales calls and customer contacts.
• Interprets customer supplied specifications, drawings and one-line diagrams for quotation and cost estimate purposes.
• Provides engineering project management as needed.
• Designs and develops the best cost/performance product that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
• Develops and publishes metrics on the health of the sales support process for the Engineering Team deliverables
• Works with cross functional teams to conduct feasibility study, generate specifications, and schedule standard product line development programs through engineering.
• Supports the Field Service team in the trouble-shooting of load banks in the field.
• Selects and directs third party product certification and testing where required.
• Acts as a liaison to third party certifiers.
• Responds to sales and engineering inquiries relative to the regulatory environment.
• Develops tools to enable / support technical questions and quotes on demand (AI / Chat)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in ‘customer facing’ roles
• Previous experience leading engineering projects
• Previous experience in launching business process tools
• Solid organizational and interpersonal skills and leadership abilities
• Excellent writing and presentational skills
• UL 508A Industrial Control Standard and National Electric Code
