Job summary
Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Lead electrical design engineer to lead design and development for new products, improvements, and sustaining projects involving complex automated or robotic equipment.
You will make technical decisions on electrical hardware and controls, troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, and mentor junior engineers onsite in Reno.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of electrical engineering experience in complex equipment, automation, robotics, or a similar environment.
- Strong experience with microcontrollers, motor drives, PLCs, DC switching, and electrical hardware design.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and development for new products, product improvements, and sustaining engineering projects involving complex automated or robotic equipment.
- Make technical decisions on electrical hardware and controls, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve hardware/software problems.
- Collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful fielding of products.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and support ongoing professional development.
