Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assists in producing electrical drawings, specifications and calculations from concept through construction documents.
  • Reviews electrical deliverables for scope, quality and coordination.
  • Develops electrical system designs using applicable codes and standards.
  • Leads construction administration activities (shop drawings, RFIs, site visits) with managers.
  • Uses CAD and modeling tools to create and review 2D drawings and 3D electrical models.
  • Assists project managers with cost tracking, scope management and risk evaluation for electrical systems.
  • Supports technical and process improvements through professional development.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the development of electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design under reduced supervision. Assists in developing electrical system designs and analytical models using working knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Collaborates with engineers, designers, modelers, and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated, high-quality electrical design solutions. Leads construction administration activities as assigned and supports project execution through technical coordination and risk evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the management and production of electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations from conceptual design through construction documents under reduced supervision.
  • Supports review of electrical deliverables to ensure scope, quality, and coordination standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assists in development of electrical system designs using working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Leads construction administration activities, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and participating in site visits, in collaboration with managers.
  • Utilizes CAD and modeling tools to create and review 2D drawings and 3D electrical models.
  • Assists project managers with cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation related to electrical systems.
  • Participates in professional development and supports implementation of technical and process improvements.
Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:

6+ years of experience in electrical engineering required.

Certifications and Licenses:

Professional Engineer (PE) license required. NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred.
