Job summary

Sr Electrical Engineer

Location: New Albany, Advance Assembly & Packing Facility. Department: F&E Infrastructure Operations.

What You Will Do

Under limited supervision, execute advanced maintenance activities and operate assigned equipment, facility, utility, and electrical systems. Conduct intermediate troubleshooting, employ predictive technologies for root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to diagnose or avert equipment problems.

Independently provide or direct process optimization strategies and troubleshooting of operational issues in site utilities and electrical systems. Apply engineering principles to design and implement major system modifications, experiments, and capital projects. Develop, analyze, and present results for complex operational issues or engineering projects.

• Complete complex or novel assignments requiring new or improved engineering techniques.
• Design, review, and manage electrical systems and subsystems focusing on safety, EMC, power, and applicable compliance.
• Design power, control, and communications architecture for product and application environment.
• Develop electrical requirements and specifications.
• Provide cost‑effective electrical design solutions for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to develop innovative system solutions.
• Prepare and conduct technical design reviews.
• Develop engineering policies and procedures affecting multiple units.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors and suppliers.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques or modifications within area of expertise.
• Apply knowledge from related fields to support assignments.
• Serve as peer‑recognized specialist in low, medium, and high voltage systems.
• Own equipment and systems related to the site electrical system.
• Maintain deep technical understanding of transformers, generators, UPS, motor control centers, and switchgears.

What We Expect Of You

Basic Qualifications

• Doctorate degree
• Or Master’s degree in engineering and 2 years of electrical or automation experience
• Or Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4 years of electrical or automation experience
• Or Associate’s degree in engineering and 8 years of electrical or automation experience
• Or High school diploma/GED and 10 years of electrical or automation experience
