Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team within the North America Places group. The role is located in Dallas, Texas, and supports our world‑class Retail architectural practice across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Sustainable electrical engineering expertise: develop technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications directly or through team members.
- Market presence: engage with regional organizations and clients, raise and take ownership of project opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: share ownership of opportunity pursuit, strategy creation, client relationships, quality, and delivery innovation.
- Operational knowledge: possess commercial strategy acumen in fee creation, track financial success in mechanical scopes, and act as lead.
- Global collaboration: work effectively in a multicultural environment with teammates worldwide.
- Line management and people development: mentor and train colleagues as the team expands.
- Up to 20% travel may be required, including overnight stays.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant MEP experience within the Retail practice.
- Professional Engineer in Texas.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and with clients.
- Confidence in client‑facing discussions.
- Experience with Autodesk platforms and other digital design tools, including Construction Cloud and BIM engineered solutions.
Education
- BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng, or equivalent in engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on past Arcadis projects (including legacy CRTKL and IBI) architects.
- Experience in full‑service consulting design firms and coordination with in‑house A/E resources.
- Adaptability to new digital tools such as AI to evolve delivery methods.
- Practical sustainability and carbon‑reduction experience.
- Urban environments implementing transformative solutions.
- User‑experience‑centric projects requiring narrow engineering solutions.
