Job summary

A leading aerospace company located in Clearwater, FL, is seeking an experienced engineer specializing in analog and digital board designs. You will be responsible for translating design requirements into board designs, reviewing PCB layouts, and ensuring system integration. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least seven years of board design experience, particularly in aerospace applications. The position does not offer remote work options and requires candidates to be U.S. Persons.

Qualifications

  • Experience in design for aerospace applications.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace and FAA requirements.

Responsibilities

  • System integration to ensure proper function of integrated boards.
  • Review of PCB layouts using Altium, PADS, or Allegro.
  • Support in production test and troubleshooting.

Job Summary

Responsible for translation of design requirements into analog and digital board designs - complete with component selection, simulation, schematic capture, layout, documentation and development of test procedures for avionics products.

Responsibilities
  • System integration to ensure proper function of integrated boards in the intended platform
  • Review of PCB layouts with Altium, PADS or Allegro - PCB layout experience is a plus
  • Ability to interface with in-house manufacturing for production test support and troubleshooting
  • Emphasis will be on a structured development process to meet DO-178C / DO-254 guidelines
Education and Previous Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, physics or related engineering fields
  • Experience in design and implementation for aerospace applications. Familiarity with various data and power bus architectures and implementation of micro-processors
  • A minimum of seven years in board design, preferably from aerospace organization
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of aerospace and FAA requirements
  • Strong analytical and communication skills for evaluating information and providing to the customer
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
