About The Opportunity

Precision Talent Partners is partnering with a global leader in advanced materials, manufacturing, and technology to identify an experienced Environmental Engineer – Air Quality & Compliance for a highly visible technical role supporting sophisticated R&D, laboratory, pilot-scale, and manufacturing operations.

This individual will serve as a key technical resource for air quality compliance, with responsibility for permitting, emissions calculations, regulatory reporting, monitoring, and interpretation of federal and state environmental requirements.

What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is the environment itself. Rather than supporting a static manufacturing operation, this role will work alongside technical and operational teams as new processes, equipment, and projects are introduced and modified—helping determine environmental requirements and build compliance into operations from the beginning.

For someone who has developed strong expertise in air permitting and emissions compliance and wants greater visibility, technical variety, and organizational impact, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Why This Role Stands Out
  • Become the Air Quality Expert - Serve as a technical resource for air emissions compliance, permitting, calculations, reporting, monitoring, and regulatory interpretation.
  • Support a Highly Technical Environment - Work across manufacturing, R&D, pilot-scale, and laboratory operations where processes and technologies continue to evolve.
  • Get Involved Early - Evaluate environmental requirements for new and modified equipment, processes, and projects before they are fully implemented.
  • Broader Environmental Exposure - While air compliance is the primary focus, you'll also contribute to hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, chemical management, ISO 14001, and other environmental programs.
  • High Visibility & Cross-Functional Impact - Partner with engineering, operations, project teams, environmental professionals, leadership, consultants, and contractors to solve complex compliance challenges.
What You'll Do
  • Lead site air quality compliance activities, including permitting, regulatory reporting, emissions calculations, inspections, monitoring, and technical support.
  • Interpret federal and state air regulations and translate requirements into practical actions for operating and technical teams.
  • Evaluate environmental compliance requirements associated with new or modified processes, equipment, and projects.
  • Perform and support air emissions calculations and ambient air quality modeling.
  • Support broader environmental programs involving hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, chemical management, refrigerants, spill prevention, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System initiatives.
  • Manage environmental data, regulatory documentation, records, and compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate environmental consultants and contractors supporting compliance initiatives and projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally to integrate environmental requirements into operations, engineering projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate compliance expectations and environmental performance to management and other stakeholders.
  • Support environmental investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions when necessary.
