About the Role

We are seeking a Senior EHS Engineer to support the site EHS Manager in leading and enhancing risk‑based environmental, health, and safety programs at our Greensboro campus. This role is a key technical leader and change agent, responsible for driving compliance, advancing safety culture, and influencing operational excellence across a complex semiconductor environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Support / lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site EHS programs aligned with regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements
  • Identify systemic risks and implement sustainable solutions that improve safety performance and operational efficiency
  • Support EHS strategy execution and contribute to corporate standards and cross‑site initiatives
  • Conduct advanced hazard assessments and risk evaluations across areas including electrical safety, hazardous materials, machine safety, confined space, and industrial hygiene
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA (29 CFR 1910), environmental regulations, and applicable standards (air, water, waste, DOT)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and support inspections
  • Lead incident investigations, applying structured root cause analysis and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Analyze trends and metrics to proactively reduce risk and prevent recurrence
Engagement & Culture
  • Partner closely with site leaders and cross‑functional teams to drive a culture of ownership and accountability
  • Develop and deliver engaging, high‑impact EHS training programs
  • Lead or influence site safety committees, emergency response programs, and employee engagement initiatives
Audit, Systems & Reporting
  • Co‑lead internal audits and support external audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 14001 / 45001, RBA)
  • Maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor performance and drive data‑informed decisions
  • Support sustainability initiatives and corporate reporting requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA (29 CFR 1910) and environmental regulations
  • Experience in hazard analysis, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to independently manage programs and drive improvements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook) and web‑based applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems
  • Familiarity with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards
  • Experience applying Lean or continuous improvement principles
  • Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM) or progress toward certification
  • Experience radiation and laser safety requirements
