Sr EHR Application Analyst ASAP/ED

Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: EHR Application Analysts are the primary support for the assigned non-clinical application(s). They must be very knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations and coordinate all issues that arise during installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading for their application area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Serves as application expert for troubleshooting and advanced features/considerations
• Mentors and ensures quality of work for Analysts 1/2
• Partners with other application teams to drive system integration and efficiencies
• Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with application software and prepares detailed specifications as needed
• Assists in evaluating operational needs; validates workflows, builds, and configurations based on application requirements/standards; serves as liaison between end users, third parties, and application staff

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• All other functions that aren't the most important. Only duties that are performed, not experience or knowledge.
• Understanding the choices involved in application configuration
• Developing and documenting procedures for implementing system changes and other tasks
• Serving as a liaison between end users, third parties, and vendors

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred in IT/Informatics

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:

Multiple relevant application certifications required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

4+ years experience in healthcare, information systems, or healthcare IT
