Job Summary:

As a Sr. Domain Architect for Foodbuy, you will partner with technology leaders to define and deliver Data, Application and Cloud capabilities that enable our enterprise strategy. You will translate executive vision into a multi-year roadmap, guide cross-functional teams, and evangelize best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Roadmap
• Lead the creation and continuous evolution of the Foodbuy domain architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with Foodbuy’s enterprise goals and priorities.
  
  

• Mentorship & Governance
• Mentor junior architects and technical teams; enforce domain best practices, patterns, and standards.
  
  

• Technology Evaluation
• Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., high transactional processing systems, big data platforms, container orchestration, AI/ML frameworks), assessing readiness and business impact.
  
  

• Sector Collaboration
• Serve as the primary architect liaison for Foodbuy - ensuring domain consistency across projects.
  
  

• Modernization
• Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-enabled solutions, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with architecture standards.
  
  

• Cloud Topology Design
• Design and implement effective cloud-enabled topologies that optimize performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency across public, private, and hybrid environments.
  
  

• Enterprise Architecture Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure adherence to architecture standards and practices.
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of architecture experience, including leadership of domain-level initiatives.
• Deep expertise in modern technologies (e.g., API architecture, cloud-native patterns, containerization, AI/ML).
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale architecture transformations.
• Hands-on technical ability to design, prototype, and implement domain-specific solutions.
• Demonstrates deep expertise in C#, Python, Angular, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, with experience applying these technologies in enterprise architecture initiatives.
  
  

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Track record rolling out microservices at enterprise scale.
• Professional certification(s) (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect).
