Sr. Document Management Analyst I

Employment Type: Full Time, Entry-level

Here at CGS, we are seeking an entry-level Document Management Analyst/ General Clerk to facilitate the case closing process and data archiving of Federal Records material. The Document Management Analyst will help in the organization of important documents and help the attorneys prepare for trial.

Skills and attributes for success:

  1. Create detailed indexing of case files;
  2. Drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments;
  3. Document acquisition-related tasks;
  4. Conducting database searches;
  5. Proofreads and edits deliverable products;
  6. Sometimes serves as "team leader" for a more extensive group of Document Management Technicians and clerical support staff;
  7. Often works with minimal supervision. Reports to Task Supervisor, Project Supervisor or assigned staff.

The Document Management Analyst may also perform the following tasks but not limited to:

  1. Collate and review evidence in newly submitted claims;
  2. Responsible for reviewing claim-related evidence, database management, and accurately documenting the steps per guidelines;
  3. May assist with case management activities on an as-needed basis;
  4. Filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials;
  5. Creating witness binders;
  6. Preparing deposition and trial exhibits;
  7. Entering data online to case files and other databases;
  8. Proofreading, editing, and correcting OCR'd text files;
  9. Retrieving and blowing back documents and digital image media;
  10. Tabbing, numbering, labeling, and assembling documents;
  11. Filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress;
  12. Performing quality control on the work of peers in all assigned areas;
  13. Ensures that formats of documents to be filed meet applicable requirements;
  14. Assists attorneys and support staff as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. One year of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree. Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
  3. Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Relativity or other document review platform, Trial Director, etc.
  4. Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
  5. Strong document review skill set (reviewing claims, patient records, etc.).
  6. The ability to consistently deliver the highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
  7. Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  8. Must be a United States citizen.

Ideally, you will also have:

  1. Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, is preferred.
  2. Automated litigation support experience, is helpful.
  3. Experience working with claims.
  4. Current or active clearance.
