The Senior Division Order Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and maintaining oil and gas division of interest ownership for both operated and non-operated units and wells in compliance with corporate controls, procedures, and policies. The position requires strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate, determine, and maintain record title ownership and division of interest by evaluating division order title opinions, recorded conveyance documents, leases, and curative with a high level of accuracy within statutory or other business defined time frames. This includes estimated to final divisions of interest for both Joint Interest Billing (JIB) and Revenue Accounting (REV).
- Diligently complete working and non-working interest ownership changes while collaborating closely with other teams like Lease Records, Owner Relations, Accounting, and Land.
- Continuously evaluate improvements and adaptations to business processes to improve agility in addressing industry changes while aligning with company goals and needs.
- Foster strong collaboration, communication, and flow of information among Land Administration, Land, Legal, Accounting, Marketing, and IT departments.
- Research and assist with addressing related owner inquiries assigned or elevated by Owner Relations team and document work in the business’ prescribed Owner Relations Management System (ORMS) and processes.
- Assist with escheat related research, acquisition related projects, data migration, and other Land Administration type duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or HS diploma/GED with equivalent land experience required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Division Order experience with an actively drilling oil & gas company required.
- Direct Division Order experience in and knowledge of Texas required.
- Proficiency in P2 Domain or an equivalent Land System like Quorum, Enertia, or Bolo required.
- Experience and knowledge of unclaimed property best practices preferred.
- Experience with electronic files and digital data management preferred.
- Strong research, math, interpersonal and written communication, and technical skills required.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects timely, work autonomously when needed, and resolve owner inquiries quickly and accurately.
- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills most specifically MS Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
- Possess competency in accurately entering data into integrated Land software systems.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to uphold relationships with various organizations across the company as well as outside agencies.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to determine priorities in alignment with the business needs.
