Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Senior Director, Supply Chain Services to support growth within strategy. You will lead development and optimization of processes, methods, and tools for the purchasing organization globally and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities include automated procurement activities, supplier data structuring, supplier performance, demand forecasting, inventory accountability, and reporting. Collaboration with IT, Operations, and Leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 7 years of proven management experience in the metals industry.
• Experience in procurement excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret performance data.

Responsibilities

• Define and document Procurement Excellence roadmap with PMO and executives.
• Interface with IT, Commercial, Operations, and Digital stakeholders to define business rules.
• Coordinate with Transformation Team members to leverage continuous improvement investments.
• Manage the Procurement Excellence Portfolio and drive global initiatives.
• Lead global projects and initiatives to meet KMC needs.
• Assess Purchasing team capabilities and gaps to build best-in-class organization.

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Supply Chain Services is responsible for supporting KMC's growth path within the framework of strategy. The Senior Director takes a leading role in the development, review, and optimization of processes, methods, and tools for the KMC purchasing organization under strategic, global, and cross-functional aspects. Topics include:

• Automation of internal & vendor facing purchasing activities
• Acquisition & structuring of supplier data
• Development of supplier performance & segmentation strategies
• Demand forecasting & planning schedule alignment w/ key suppliers
• Inventory management & accountability frameworks
• Performance reporting & rebate management
• Supplier capacity reporting & outages

Job Functions

• Management of the Procurement Excellence Portfolio
• Define & document Procurement Excellence roadmap in conjunction with PMO department, Executive leadership, and Procurement stakeholders
• Integrate and participate in Global projects and initiatives to ensure KMC needs are met by global initiatives
• Interface with IT, Commercial, Operations, and Digital stakeholders to collaboratively define business rules and solutions to support the organization’s strategy
• Coordinate with other Transformation Team Members such as Excellence Managers in Value Chain (Sales, Operations, etc), Process Managers, Data Analytics, Digital Product Managers, and Master Data Managers to ensure the full weight of continuous improvement investments are leveraged for stakeholders
• Assessment of Purchasing team’s capabilities, coverage, pipeline, and gaps in order to create a Best-In-Class organization

Minimum Requirements

• Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
• Results driven individual with high-performance standards of themselves and others, with the ability to motivate and lead the sales team
• Bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 7 years of proven management experience, in the metals industry; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
